Spanning 3 generations of creativity, this exhibit of European toy lead soldiers spawned the sculpting of individual American figures representing the Civil War, Western and Native American figurines. This collection consists of individual and dioramas of several themes: Historic figures from the early 1700's to present - Napoleonic figures depicting Arabs, British, Prussian and Russian - Mountain Men, People of First Nations and Cowboys - Civil War figurines.

Juried show sponsored by Uintah Arts Council. Open to all photographers West of the Mississippi. Entry fee - Novice $10 per photo; Amateur $15 per photo; Advanced Amateur $15 per photo; Professional $15 per photo; Child (under 12) $5 per photo - (limit 3 photos)
Submit entries: Thursday, September 30th - Friday, October 1st.
Students from Uintah High School, Vernal Junior High, and Vernal Middle School will display a variety of arts.
18th Annual Quilt Show

This very popular exhibit is courtesty of the members of "Quilters On The Edge" quilting guild. There are approximately 75 quilted items from King size quilts, wall hangings and more. Come vote for your favorite!
Our Uinta Basin artists have brought in a wide variety of oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen & ink, and photography. 49 pieces in all.

Date: September 23 – 25, 2010
Tournament Location: Green River, Utah, Sections A & B
Event Goal: $100,000 to protect Utah’s rivers and fight the spread of aquatic invasive species. Proceeds to this event will go directly to TU’s Utah Water Project and Aquatic Invasive Species research and prevention.
Participation: 15 angling teams (four anglers and one alternate per team)
Basic Rules: One fly per angler, one full day of catch and release fishing. Participation will be limited to 15 teams of four anglers each, and will take place on sections A & B of Utah’s fabled Green River. This event will bring together the river’s finest guides and some of the country’s best fly fishers and conservationists to support Utah’s coldwater fisheries.
Event Schedule:
Thursday, September 23: Registration and welcome party Friday, September 24: Breakfast, tournament, awards dinner and fundraiser Saturday, September 25: Optional fishing and departure
Registration Fee: $1,000 per team. This fee covers one angling team in the tournament, Thursday welcome party, Friday breakfast, lunch, and evening dinner and auction. Registration and payment deadline is September 1st.
