Fishing is world class in Northeastern Utah. Clear blue lakes, accessible reservoirs and countless rivers provide excellent fishing year round. A prime fly-fishing destination, the Green River below Flaming Gorge Dam is one of the finest tailwater fisheries in the world. Lake Flaming Gorge is also prime habitat for Mackinaw trout, smallmouth bass, and Kokanee salmon. Want more quiet? More solitude? Hike or horseback into the High Uintas. Over 600 lakes and rivers are stocked regularly.

Flaming Gorge Reservoir is a grand and massive lake that remains uncrowded despite its beauty. The red sand shores, the dramatic skyline, the steep canyons . . . all are part of a boating or fishing experience on the Gorge. Other water sports such as waterskiing and windsurfing are also popular.
In the northeast corner of Utah, about 40 miles north of Vernal.

The Red Fleet Reservoir is surrounded by crimson shores (and some of these shores have a few dinosaur fossil footprints). Boating and fishing these clear waters is Red Fleet Reservoir is an attractive destination situated among colorful cliff walls. Red Fleet State Park sits on a bluff overlooking the reservoir. It offers nice boating and fishing.
A few miles east of Highway 191, about 10 miles north of Vernal
Starvation Reservoir is a large reservoir is set amidst low dry foothills. It features a campground with modern facilities, a sandy beach, boating, and year-round fishing.
4 miles northwest of Duchesne, on US Highway 40
Sandy beaches, swimming, boating and water-skiing top the list of activities at Steinaker. Year-round fishing is for rainbow trout and largemouth bass.
7 miles north of Vernal, off Highway 191 in northeastern Utah
